Youth Mentoring- A Rewarding Experience
Mentoring the next generation of project managers is a fulfilling and rewarding experience for those providing guidance and the recipients of such knowledge. PMI KC is proud to influence the next generation of young project managers by providing Mentors with strong industry expertise as students apply project management skills to solve real-life problems.

Curtis Cook, Summit Technology Academy, Instructor of International Studies.
Curtis holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Curtis has been a teacher in the Lee’s Summit School District for 22 years. He designed and implemented the Summit International Studies Academy (SISA) in 2009. During this time, he has worked with local, regional, and international partners in dozens of countries covering all seven continents.
Jeremy Bonnesen, Director/Principal, Summit Technology Academy.
Dr. Bonnesen is the director/principal of Summit Technology Academy (STA) at The Missouri Innovation Campus. Dr. Bonnesen has nearly 28 years of experience in education. He has received numerous awards and recognitions within the educational and civic arenas, including Lee’s Summit Community Reflections of Character Award Recipient, Kansas City Connector Recognition by the Kauffman Foundation, and a Lee’s Summit School District Excellence in Teaching Recipient. He holds a doctorate and specialist’s degree in educational leadership from Saint Louis University. In addition, he also has earned a master’s degree in school counseling and a bachelor’s degree in English education from the University of Central Missouri.
