Lead with M.O.R.E.: Owning Success in Times of Uncertainty

In an era of economic shifts, political unpredictability, and rapid innovation, project professionals are being called to rise above traditional execution and lead with purpose.

This year’s theme, Lead with M.O.R.E.: Owning Success in Times of Uncertainty, is inspired by PMI Global’s 2025 Call to Action, urging our community to go beyond managing projects and take full ownership of project success.

Through this theme, we will explore how to:

✔️ Manage perceptions to ensure value is clearly communicated and understood

✔️ Own the outcomes by driving impact, not just deliverables

✔️ Relentlessly reassess in the face of change and ambiguity

✔️ Expand our perspectives to see the bigger picture and align with organizational and societal goals

Together, we’ll embrace the challenge of uncertainty - not as a barrier, but as a catalyst to lead with courage, adaptability, and intention.

Will you choose your path, or will your path be chosen for you?

In today's era of rapid innovation, it's more important than ever to take an active role in steering the course of your career. In this session we will discuss how to apply best practices of project management to your career planning process, identifying and earning the role of your dreams.

Elizabeth Allen

Are You Read to Be an Economy of One?

Are you (and your family) ready to become an Economy of One? Elizabeth built this program to address the 70%+ of people who don’t like what they do and are uncertain how to create financial security in an increasingly uncertain world. With an anticipated 80% of knowledge workers being impacted by Ai by 2028, we certainly can’t depend on others to create financial or career security for us. Instead, people must think and act like entrepreneurs, even if they aren't sure they want to become one. Elizabeth will provide to you an industry proven best practice process to become an economy of one, enabling you to drive demand for what you can uniquely supply.
Economy Of One was pioneered with Partner Frank Bonura at the United States Military, where they were brought into Ft. Leavenworth to teach our brightest Veterans how to translate the value of their military experience to jobs in the corporate marketplace. After this, the course was presented in colleges and workshops which have shown to produce measurable change for those attending. Elizabeth will introduce the testimony of a Project Manager who has used principles of Economy of One over the past 15 years to create job security and contract based opportunities. She will share her story speaking specifically about the implications of this program for Project Managers, describing practical applications and ideas for multiple industries.

Projyct Management: Putting the “Y” In

You’re a great project manager able to organize teams, meet delivery commitments, and control costs... yet your career isn’t progressing as much as you had hoped, and you’re not getting the level of recognition you desire. You want to know why. The reason may be the \"why.\" It can be easy to get lost within the operational necessities of delivery and lose focus on the strategic imperative behind each of your projects. This session will cover common reasons for project initiation and how to align your success with organizational success.

Leading with M.O.R.E Clarity in Uncertainty: Turning Ambiguity into Advantage

I'll be walking participants through the M.O.R.E. framework:
   1) Manage Perceptions: Making value visible and reframing stakeholder expectations.
   2) Own Outcomes: Shifting from deliverables to true impact.
   3) Relentlessly Reassess: Building flexibility into scope, cadence, and reporting.
   4) Expand Perceptions: Seeing beyond the immediate to align projects with bigger organizational and societal goals.
This session will also include two interactive breakout activities designed to keep participants engaged and help them apply the framework in real time.

Managing Project Success – Seven Influences on Success

While project success rates have improved as project management tools and techniques have become more widely accepted, and the definition of success has been broadened to include the concept of providing value, many projects still fail or aren’t as successful as they could have been. In this session, we will explore seven influences on project success beyond the traditional iron triangle and the creation of value, how each can influence project outcomes, and how to apply insights regarding these influences to improve project planning and execution.

The Project Manager as Change Manager

Project managers are often change managers. The implementation of a project, new software, or improving a process creates a change that affects people, process, and technology. This can be difficult and require associates to develop resilience along with emotional intelligence. Change management is a key part of successful project delivery and post deployment. This presentation will provide an overview of change management, discuss the key elements of managing change and building resilient teams, and share lessons learned from my experience.

Paul Porras

My First 100 Days in Office

This presentation was first designed in 1986 with Ewing Marion Kauffman (Mr. K) from the iconic Marion Laboratories. It was created when I got promoted to Regional Sales Director at the age of 31 becoming the youngest RSD in the company’s history at that time. After a successful beginning to that position I took that learning to my Adjunct Professor role at Webster University and created a new approved course entitled Managerial Leadership. The project for that class that was created was My First 100 Days in Office. This came about since attending graduate school for most students was to prepare them to gain more responsibility at work and eventually gain a promotion.
Over the years in taking over companies and creating new ones this process is now a foundation for creating success for people as well as companies that bring in or promote leaders.

These presentations will be made available to all attendees after the event has concluded.
