Almost all textbooks and other technical sources, define the critical path right after the introduction of the critical path method and its calculations. These definitions revolve around the simple statement that the critical path is the longest path on a logic network; from start to finish. Although this definition is correct in the general sense, it is incomplete and inaccurate. It has loopholes and flaws that will show in certain cases.
