Calvin Mayfield, VP Senior IT Service Owner, Commerce Bank

Calvin has worked in and around Information Technology for over 30 years.  Most of that time was spent with Sprint and T-Mobile, where he held a number roles – including business analyst, project manager, project management coach and development manager.  Since 2015 he’s been leading data engineering teams – The people responsible for gathering, consolidating and preparing data to allow data analysts and scientists to work their magic delivering business value from data.  He most recently took a role with Commerce Bank to help define their IT Data Strategy and develop the Business and Operational Services required to support that strategy.  He has been a member of the PMI-KC chapter since 2005 and received his PMP in 2008.

 

Outside of work he is active with many non-profit and civic organizations including Boy Scouts of America, the Black Achievers Society of Greater Kansas City, PREP-KC and the Kansas City graduate chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated.
